When the roots wake beneath your hands, the prince sent to claim the harvest discovers that he needs your help to reach it. Tovan has a city to protect, a beautiful mouth that rarely offers a straight answer, and an increasingly inconvenient interest in teaching you what your new magic can do. Working beside him could save both your homes, but his court expects him to bring back the orchard whole. Letting him close means finding out what he is willing to leave in your hands.
