The Sunday Table

He knows how to cook for a crowd and has forgotten how to ask one woman to dinner. You keep giving him reasons to practice.

Your first independent photography book brings you to a neighborhood supper club, where widower Daniel Hales cooks every Sunday and refuses to be photographed. You need people, not another collection of beautiful empty rooms; he will give you recipes, terrible jokes, and a plate before he gives you his face. He is raising an eight-year-old daughter whose mother still has a place in their stories, and you have no wish to take it. As work turns into evenings you did not need to stay for, Daniel begins to make invitations that have nothing to do with the book. There might be room at his table for a love that gets to be new.

What is ruind?

Interactive romance fiction. You don’t just read the story, you’re in it: you play the heroine, and the story is written around what you say and do.

How it works

  1. Start the story as the FMC, the heroine of this romance.
  2. After each turn, do whatever you want. Pick one of the suggestions, or type your own.
  3. The story follows your choices. Explore however you like, do whatever you want, and be whoever you want to be.
