Terms of service

ruind is operated by Boostup International Pty Ltd, trading as ruind (“ruind”, “we”, “us”). These terms are the agreement between you and us when you use ruind.app or the ruind app. By using ruind you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use ruind.

Who can use ruind

ruind is for adults only. You must be at least 18, and old enough to view sexually explicit material where you live. Don’t use ruind if that material is illegal where you are. We may ask you to confirm your age before a story becomes explicit, and we may close any account we believe belongs to someone under 18.

What ruind is

ruind is interactive fiction. You play the heroine, and an AI system writes each response from your choices, the story you picked and our writing guidelines. Stories may include sexually explicit scenes and dark romantic themes.

Everything ruind writes is fiction. Characters, places and events are invented, and any resemblance to real people is coincidental. Responses are generated automatically, so they can be inconsistent, inaccurate or not what you expected. Nothing in a story is advice of any kind.

Your account

You can start reading without an email. To keep reading after a few turns, and before buying anything, you add an email and sign in with a link we send you. Keep access to that email secure: anyone who can open your sign-in links can open your account.

One account per person. To stop free allowances being claimed over and over, we keep a protected record of the browsers used to create accounts (see our privacy policy). If this blocks you by mistake, for example on a shared device, email us and we’ll help.

You can delete your account at any time from Settings.

What you can’t do

When you use ruind, you agree not to:

  • write or steer toward sexual content involving anyone under 18, or characters presented as under 18, whatever the context;
  • use ruind to depict real, identifiable people in sexual situations, or to harass, threaten or defame anyone;
  • try to get content that is illegal where you live or in Australia;
  • create multiple accounts to claim extra free turns, or share, sell or transfer your account;
  • scrape ruind, automate requests, probe or disrupt our systems, or try to get around our limits, age checks or security checks;
  • use ruind to build or train a competing product.

The stories follow fixed content rules: all characters are adults, and the heroine always keeps her agency. We may refuse or stop generating content that breaks these rules.

Turns, purchases and subscriptions

Each response uses one turn. New accounts get a one-time free allowance. After that you can buy turn packs or subscribe. Current allowances and prices are shown in the app and in the FAQ. All prices are in US dollars, and your bank may add currency conversion fees.

  • Turn packs are one-time purchases. Purchased turns don’t expire while your account exists.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically each month or year until you cancel. Cancel any time from Settings → Manage billing. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you’ve paid for, then stops renewing. Subscription turns reset daily and don’t roll over.
  • Turns have no cash value, can’t be transferred, and are lost when you delete your account.
  • We may change prices or allowances. A price change applies to a subscription from the next renewal after we tell you about it, and you can cancel before then.

Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card details. Refunds are covered in our refund and cancellation policy.

Your stories

What you type and the stories ruind writes for you are kept in your account so you can come back to them. You give us permission to store and process them only to run ruind for you, to keep it safe, and to fix problems. We don’t publish your stories or use them to advertise.

You may keep and share your own stories for personal, non-commercial purposes. The ruind name, design, story premises and characters, and the writing guidelines belong to us.

Availability and changes

We work to keep ruind running, but we can’t promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may change, add or retire stories and features. If we ever shut ruind down, we’ll give subscribers notice and refund any subscription time paid for but not provided.

Suspension and closing accounts

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, is used for fraud or abuse, or belongs to someone under 18. Where it’s reasonable, we’ll tell you why first. If we close your account without you breaking these terms, we’ll refund the unused part of any subscription and any unused purchased turns.

Your consumer rights

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes any right you have that can’t be excluded by law, including guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law and your statutory rights as a consumer in the United Kingdom or elsewhere.

Liability

Apart from the rights above, ruind is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you for anything connected to ruind is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Where the Australian Consumer Law lets us limit our liability for a failure to meet a consumer guarantee, our liability is limited to supplying the service again or paying the cost of having it supplied again.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. If a change is significant, we’ll tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect. If you keep using ruind afterwards, the new terms apply.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and you and we submit to the courts of Queensland. If you are a consumer living in another country, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of that country, and you may bring a claim in your local courts.
